"BUNKHOUSE" Study 5 if the series "Men of the Forrests of Finland" by Tom

who lives in Finland.

MANY OF THE "HEALTH ITEM" PRODUCTS ADVERTISED IN PHYSIQUE BOOKS ARE COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. Because they apparently need the revenue to keep themselves going, some physique magazines carry ads for products of very dubious and often highly exaggerated value. Several carry their own special line (usually bought from a common source). The most common junk item offered is the so-called vitamin-protein-mineral supplement. Contrary to what they tell you, if you eat balanced healthful meals you get all the necessary elements you need far less expensively than you would from these supplements which mostly pass thru the bowels as so much waste. Another ad promises the relief of pimples, though the product's chief effectiveness is the preliminary soap and water cleansing preparation required, plus the fact that the sufferer is not likely to scratch while he has the medication on. One balding gym owner we know has quite a successful mail order business selling hair restorer though it apparently has no value to his own shiny pate. One ad shows a man's corset which "takes inches off your waist and builds abdominals"--but the truth is that such devices more often than not weaken what few muscles a person already has. Study the muscle-book ads with a suspicious eye I

Even though the ads invariably state "Your money back if not satisfied" they know that only a small percentage ever ask for their money back, because they just cant be bothered. This is why we accept no paid advertising, because we dislike seeing people get fleeced.
